Hey! I'm Brittney.

I am a storyteller, educator, and education freedom dreamer. As the founder of Conscious Pathways, my approach to equity-centered design begins with cultivating spaces rooted in belonging, trust, and accountability. Grounded in the idea of praxis through my background in early childhood education, adult learning and design, as well as social informed public policy I excel at transforming complex and nuanced ideas into action oriented and evidence based practice. My knowledge lies at the intersection of justice and education as the pathway to liberation. Ultimately, I help organizations show up for the people at the heart of the work with intention, authenticity, and clarity.

Conscious Vision

A conscious approach to education views students as active participants in their learning rather than recipients of knowledge. Conscious Pathways is a mindful approach to reimagining education for social equity, justice, and innovation. Teaching children to be culturally conscious critical thinkers who are empowered to to speak out and stand up against injustice should be as routine of a practice as teaching academics, appropriate social interactions, and life skills are in the early childhood classroom. 

Conscious Mission

Early childhood educators feel confident and prepared to address diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom. Educators, Parents, and Community members shall understand the responsibility they hold in ceasing the cycle of prejudice and injustice by developing a critical cultural consciousness.
